Gardening Tips
Gardening in a dry area? Use plenty of mulch to cut down on evaporation. Layers of newpaper or cardboard make great mulches. Place soaker hoses under the mulch. Don't water during midday when much of the water will evaporate. Use rain barrels to catch rain water and use household grey water for plants.

Raised garden beds and container gardening are both good ways of dealing with very poor or rocky soils.
